Pale yellow in color with a light bubbly head. Nose was a bit dank. Taste was pine with a grassy finish that gave way to bitter, not as much as I like though.

Turning the common warm fermentation of IPA into a cooler, smoother and crisper beer, you could say that West Sixth is going cold.
Pouring brightly golden-straw while floating a stark-white froth, Hop Static Ch. 8 packs the nose with peppery, citrusy, grassy and floral hops before applying a thin coat of malt across the initial palate. Suggestions of wafer, light bread and crackers come to mind with the first supple sip.
With the hops unfolding on the middle palate, the bold taste of under ripened oranges, mangoes, grapefruit, limes and berries carry a nearly tangy flavor above the drying and crisp malts. Trending swiftly bitter, the late taste of lemon balm, verbena, green tea, spruce and hemp stand tall against the dry malt character.
Medium-light, dry and crisp, the beer may not celebrate what's best about the Centennial, Citra and Mosaic hops in taste, but its cold conditioning gives the IPA a proper drinkability, refreshment and crispness that's sorely lacking among many modern day IPA.
