Czech Saaz hops lend subtle, but distinct spiciness and bitterness notes to compliment a clean, but full malt body made up of 100% Bohemian Floor Malted Pilsner malt.

Commemorating the 90th birthday of Lexington's oldest bar, Wet Sixth puts together a Czech-styled pilsner that perfectly suits the taste of the neighborhood's most popular and most notorious dive bar.
Named after the bar, Chevy Chase Inn, the pilsner swirls in the glass with a mostly clear golden color while teeming with bubbles that fuel a spritzy cotton-white froth. With a rounded and rustic scent of raw grain, floral hops, dough and light honey swirling about the nose, the taste is simple and sweet with light bread, cereal and a hint of honey.
As the lager washes the middle palate, the sweetness drifts and the floral hops develop into a spicy balance equipped with herbal grasses and peppery resins. Trending dry, crisp and quite light on the palate, there's a light astringency that exposes in finish and gives the beer more of an American premium lager type of flavor to the delight of bar regulars.
Medium bodied for lager but generally light overall, the lager won't do anything to win over craft beer fans, but for those who love history, localism and dive bars, this beer might as well be music on the tastebuds.
