Pink Lemonade

Well just give me a front porch, a banjo, a hot day and call it a country time. West Sixth brings back memories along with a summertime quencher of a modern kettle sour ale.

Mostly hazy straw with a kiss of raspberry, Pink Lemonade pops with fizzy bubbles before drawing the senses with the tangy succulence of candied lemon along with natural accompanying citrus, cider and vinous notes. Sweet with a combination of sugar cookie and sourdough, the ale is soon met with refreshing tartness lead by lemon but also lime, green apple, white grape and gooseberry. A hint of raspberry gives the session roundness as the beer dries swiftly into a crisp and refreshingly acidic finish.

Medium bodied for sour ale, the beer easily wins over lemonade fans whether they are into craft beer or not.

 

This is a great sour. The only thing that doesn’t say lemonade is the color, it is copper in color with not much head visible. Very nice tart nose to it that screams lemonade. Flavor also is lemonade as you would expect with a slight sour bitterness.
