I just had this Black Berry Belgian Ale Quadruple from Back country, ABV 11.20%. I drank it from my Westvleteren Goblet. It is dark brown with a purplish tint and a very thin head that does not stay. The aroma and the taste is, some yeast, dark fruit, figs, raisins, prunes, a little bit of banana, and then you have the blackberry. It is a bit on the boozy side, but it is 11.20%. What makes this Quadrupel different is the prominent black berry flavor, otherwise it is a pretty typical Belgian Ale Quadruple. That is new to me. It is unorthodox but I think it turned out good.
