Pours translucent red with a white head. Aroma offers some bitter earthy and grassy hops with some caramel and toffee. Flavor is pretty much the same. Medium bodied, not much activity and a touch chewy. Didn't work for me. Overall, another solid brew from Backcountry here. Would drink again.

On tap at the brewery. I was hoping to find some non-bottled offerings there and this hit the spot. Red color (duh), great lacing and head. Smells hoppy and a bit of caramel, nice. Flavor is hoppy, bitter, caramel, pretty much what you would expect from a hopped up red. I think I might like this one better than Odell Red Ale which is pretty solid. This would be a great candidate for a bomber, I ended up ordering two pints.
