50cl on tap, real ale.
Pale yellow, almost clear, dishwashing foam with staying power.
Aroma raises questions. The expected citrus, but in the middle sits a strong barnyard note. Cow dung. What... in an APA? Has to be some hop I do not recognize. I hope.
Taste is all up front, cashing in on your expectations and then delivering a decent body for a real ale with a bit of subdued but resilient bitterness. A bit watery for the amount of hops in my opinion. There's a reason British real ales usually favour less or less aggressive hops.
An OK thing.. a real ale is always preferrable, but the barnyard element is disconcerting. Must be some side effect of adding American hops to a watery body. The off-key notes jar when there's too high fidelity.
