Gravity halfpint at the Sebright Arms.
A: Clear, practically flat amber body. Looks like apple juice. Weak.
S: Nothing but faint toasty malt; it's clean, but incredibly boring.
T: Opens with malt, then finishes with more malt. Very light, clean, and simple toastiness. Faint bitterness on the finish. Not bad, but thoroughly forgettable.
M: Medium body, light carbonation (a pleasant surprise given the flat appearance). Nice.
O: At 4.5%, this is on the strong end of the Bitter spectrum, and yet it contains less flavor than most 4.0% examples of the style. What flavor there is, though, is just fine, so I'll call it average.
