I don't know what to make of this beer. So I'm giving it a 2.5 because that's 50% of the scale, and I'm drunk..... Anyway, thus beer shouldn't be labeled as a dipa, that definitely throws off the initial taste impression, and as they say, first impressions are everything... If thought of as a barley wine it's much more palletable. Regardless of labeleing, overall kind of acrid on the front yet way too sweet and musty for me over all.
My friend said it smelled like dog food! Haha, he's weird.
If my review is also weird, keep in mind the beer is also 11%....

Some hits and misses with this brewery but this is a great product for sure.

A - Cloudy amber with minimal head. Foam dissipates quickly.
S - Dark, sweet malt.
T - Molasses and liquorice. Booze. Malt dominates. Not a big hop presence.
M - Full, sticky.
O - More of a barleywine than a DIPA. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a matter of setting expectations.

Beer shared by Shane. Thanks man!
The beer is cloudy russet orange with a creamy, off-white head. Aromas of candied citrus, alcohol, fruity malts. Malty and grainy with a super creamy feel. Low carbonation. Lacking big hop character I would expect from a DIPA. Minimal bitterness and hop presence. Earth notes and creamy malts. Bordering on American strong ale. Not my thing.
