Quarantine day sixty three: I bought a $20 bottle from a local brewery I’ve had nothing from today. Not like me, anymore. This. This is a 22 oz. bottle courtesy of megadeph split with my wife.
The pour is dark brown or light black, depending on which side of that partisan divide you roller skate on. Smells faintly like beer. And maybe coffee. Not much coming off the surface.
Viet-Irish Coffee – Imperial Rocket Fuel doesn’t back up the promise of the name, either via ingredient or aggressiveness. A very tame, mild milk stout with a spare echo of roast, light whiskey (mostly in the sinuses), chocolate in the next cube over. Thin & the ABV does not show. One could drink a lot of this if they were looking for a dull, mediocre dark beer.
Strictly average.
