The colour is amber (20 EBC), the liquid is clear. The three finger compact off-white head leaves some lacing while sinking.
The smell is smooth, almost light. Cool bitter notes, some green fruits. Grape fruit and green bananas. Hints of caramel and fruit toffee. A touch of gunpowder. Nut much sweetness at all.
The taste is somewhat hoppy and quite bitter. The bitter notes got citric and herbal notes, some dandelions and green leaves. Light malty flavours, some caramel but very low sweetness. The aftertaste is, sadly, somewhat harsh with distant citric flavours (tangerines, orange peel) and some earthiness.
The carbonation is strong, almost lager-like. The many small bubbles are sharp and longlived.
A bit too much unclean off-flavours. They are on a low level, but they disturb me anyhow. Sad, because otherwise this is a highly gulpable ale.
