L- Black to the eye but ultra-deep ruby when held up by a halogen bulb. Poured clear, minor sediment left in bottle. Poured with 1Cm mid-tan head (holds well).
S- Mild, it seems to have a form of sour apple note to it. I'd expected more from a beer of this look + ABV%
T- That sour apple note^ comes through immediately in the taste. Followed by a deep, quite pungent malty body.
F- Pungent and quite rich. Carbonation in the mouth is very good, in fact it might be to a level where it's over-carbonated for what I'd expect/wish from this style - the CO2 on the palate is noticable/prominent, a bit more than I need.
O- A little too rich vs ideal for me plus the CO2 is too 'visible' for a Quad... again for me, obviously. It's certainly drinkable but there are many better BE/Quads out there IME.
330ml Euro 2.60. ABV 9% Bought from: BelgiumInABox Antwerp/BE for home delivery to me in London/UK. BB: 13/08/2022,

Pours a deep dark-brown color with a medium of beige head that dissolves slowly and leaves some sticky lacings on the glass.
Aroma is of dark malts, bread, plum, raisins, brown sugar and spices.
The taste is sweet with notes of dried fruits and cherries, allong with strong malty and bready notes in the background. It then finishes of slightly bitter with some herbal notes. The aftertaste has a decent lenght.
Mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a medium carbonation and a full body.
A really nice and tasty quadruple.
