This beer is named for Lizzie Goedemé, a well known bar keeper in Antwerp. On het thirtieth birthday she opened her own bar in the historic city centre of Antwerp called "Tram 3", a tongue in cheek reference to becoming thirty and a typical Antwerp expression. She needed her own beer for her own bar, so went into a collaboration with the Antwerpse Brouw Compagnie. The beer is available at the brewery, Tram 3 and the wider Antwerp area supermarkets.
The label reads its a strong beer infused with tea leaves.
Served in a "seef" tumbler.
Very lively carbonation supports a large head. White in colour.
Colour is a hazy yellow.
Scent gives typical Seef yeast (cookie dough and tropical fruit). The tea is noticable if you want it to. Vanilla, white bread and toffee.
Flavour is strong on yeast, malt and alcohol. Very full and rich. Tropical fruit (papaya, banana, Persimmon, dades and lemon) and honey sweetness.
Aftertaste continues the full creamy body with sweet tropical fruit. Overall a bit drier.
I only like tripels when they are really good. I like this tripel.
