Love this place. The folks that work here couldnt be nicer nor more friendly. They have some of the best priced pours in town and even offer regular discounts, happy hours, etc. On top of being a fully functioning brewery with tasting room, they are also a hub for home brewing supplies, which is cool.

They typically have about 20 beers on tap in a wide range of styles and commonly have a few, fun, experimental beers which is always nice to see someone thinking out of the box.

hard not to be impressed with the selection in this little home brew shop and brewery tasting room. you walk into a large and busy looking space to a white tile wall with taps coming off all over it, maybe 20 or more beers flowing, all of interesting styles and names and a mix of old and new school. we had time for a few, and enjoyed very much all that we tasted, from an east coast hoppy one called sherbet pervert to a classic lichtenhainer and some in between, including sours, nitros, and whatever else you might want. i was impressed with all the liquid, they even had cans of some of them to go, along with just about anything a home brewer could want. i like these places that double as both, always run by beer people, ambitious and competent brewers, and always very no frills, just about the beer. i thought the space was mellow and inviting for what it is, some seating in the windows and a nice bar, but really this a place to come and have a pint, pick some ingredients and maybe some cans, get inspired, and go home and make your own. the world needs more places like this! their beer is well worth stopping in for, some of the best in the hood from what we encountered...

This place is great. I shop there mostly for ingredients, and they almost always have what I'm looking for. Their yeasts are fresh, unlike some of my other home brew supply options in San Diego. They're my only good option for Wyeast locally. I've called for advice a few times, and they were happy to help.

Great staff. I know they're not really meant to cater to root beer brewers, but it would've been good to see more selection there. Great place overall

This is a review for Home Brewing Co.

The beer is well made and the staff are extremely knowledgeable. I would say that is the true highlight of drinking here, because they can answer every single question you might have and will happily lead you in the direction you need to go if you're interested in homebrewing a style of beer they have on tap. It's not a very big tasting room and you definitely shouldn't come here with too big of a group, but if you're in North Park add it to your list of stops.
