Hand pulled pint in The Cock Hotel, Wellington on 2nd Feb 2012.
Really black body, jet black with no hint of redness or ruby hints: this is black. The thin tan coloured head lasted the whole pint.
The nose was of roasted dark chocolate on a bed of peat with a scattering of berrys thrown into the oven as well.
The taste follows the smells only with a drier feel, this is a fairly bitter tasting Stout actually, for roasted think almost burnt chocolate malts and you are there.
The body wasn't as heavy as the flavours suggest maybe, but it suited the feel correctly: a nice Stout.
