April 2015: Cask stillage / gravity dispense, half pint, at The City Arms, Cardiff. Deep golden colour, slightly hazy. Minimal head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of caramel and fudge. Caramel and fudge in the flavour too, but not overly sweet. The hops are very moderate though.

Gravity pour from a Firkin at ’The Lighthouse Picture Place’ in Wolverhampton during their showing of ’Roll Out The Barrel’. This was one of three Morton Brewery beers available on the day.
My pint had an amber body and a thin off-white head that tried to hang around for a while. The aroma and taste were both malty molasses style: caramel being the biggest player. The beer had a semi-bitter finish but it is mostly a malty brew and on the sweeter side of things.
The body depth was slick and almost creamy (for a UK bitter): I suppose the great dollops of caramel that must have been added made it feel that way?
