Bought a bomber from a decent bottle shop, but bottle turned out infected, with beer tasting sour and musty, simply in drinkable. Had to pour out the bottle. Hope to try the beer fresh on tap.

Update: tried the beer on tap, and it's nothing like the bottle. A little citrus but a big malt backbone, banana, caramel, and clove.

On tap at Fifty Seven Degrees. Brewer says it is made with Munich barley malts.

Handsome dark amber in the glass. Plenty of foam. A little sharp and woody. Warm and tasty overall. Plenty of wheat flavors with just a little of the Hefeweizen clove and banana esters. More of the cinnamon and burnt sugar. Tastes like an Imperial American Wheat Ale with a splash of Barleywine.

I keep tasting orange flavors and a little citrus peel. A lot of malt with plenty of caramel, but that tangy citrus comes on at the end. Pleasant but not a standard German style of wheat beer.

07-30-2014 update: Poured from the 22 oz bottle from a reputable beer shop two months ago, but it hasn't lasted very well. Kind of rusty, thin, and tea tasting. Visit the brewery or look for on-tap beers from these guys.
