February 28th, 2015 - Blondes tend not to excite, but Rough Draft has made a fruity and exotic tasting version which I found surprisingly tasty. With sweet pear and apple on the nose and flavor, it's a nice hit of ester sweetness with a champagne quality and brightness liven it up.

Virtually no foam in the pint glass right from the pour. Golden color. Rich, malty flavor with just a tickle of carbonation on the tongue.
Distinctive and spicy flavor fills the mouth. Meaty smell, a faitly sour yet nutty flavor. Just a touch of grain. Not much yeastiness, not bitterness, but lots of the spicy and flowery taste. Some hard candy. Fairly aggressive with the spicier Belgian flavors, but lacking in the darker or funkier shades. Quite interesting and highly drinkable, but the flatness doesn't show it off so well.
My favorite of the Rough Draft beers so far. Brewery says it is 17 IBUs.
