473ml can poured into tulip.
Pours a hazy burnt yellow with half a finger of off-white head that leaves some splotchy lace as it recedes.
Smells of lemon rind, white grapefruit, orange pith, bready grain, pineapple slices and mild pine resin.
Tastes of bread crust, orange and grapefruit zest, mango and pineapple juice and more resiny hops.
Feels light and crisp. Medium-light bodied with fizzy carbonation. Finishes off-dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. A good candidate for repeated drinking.

473ml can - a 'New England style pale ale'. It's all the rage, didn't you hear?
This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy bone-white head, which leaves some scattered snow rime lace around the glass as it quickly evaporates.
It smells of gritty and grainy cereal malt, muddled domestic citrus peel, a further pineapple and mango exotic fruitiness, some damp minerality, and leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and bready pale malt, orange and red grapefruit pith, blended tropical fruity notes, a hint of earthy yeastiness, saline solution, and some understated leafy, piney, and floral hoppiness.
The carbonation is average in its palate-pinging frothiness, the body a solid medium weight, and generally smooth, with a wee airy creaminess arising as things warm up at this particular juncture. It finishes off-dry, the malty and citrusy elements exhibiting the most lingering gusto.
Overall - this comes across as a very true to reality version of the IPA sub-style, with pretty much every point nailed, as already described. Crisp, very flavourful, and a pleasure to put back on another dog day of August.
