A rural connection collaboration with Dog Island.
Appearance - Pours a hazy apricot yellow with four fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - banana, clove, coriander, bubblegum aromas, spicy earthy and floral hops, bready malts, and spicy earthy yeast.
Taste - banana, clove, coriander, and bubblegum notes upfront. The spicy earthy and floral hops come through next. The bready malts and spicy earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the fruity esters lingering.
Overall - An enjoyable hefe from these two breweries. I like how more Alberta breweries are doing collaboration brews with one another. Flavours are spot on for the style and makes for a refreshing tipple on this somewhat mild evening here in Cowtown.
