Very small batch from eastern Alberta brewery. 16 ounce can.
Pours a headless very dark brown pushing black with reddish highlights at edge of glass.
Aroma of raisin, plum, molasses with chocolatey malt and hints of espresso - brown sugar note.
Taste is smooth slightly sweet - dark fruit, raisin, molasses - but there is a dark chocolate and espresso bittersweetness at the back.
Medium mouthfeel - thinner than expected due to the subdued carbonation but still a creaminess remains with a sweetness balancing a touch of espresso bitterness.
