On tap at Little Beer Quarter, Wellington.
Hazy amber colour with a smooth, off-white head. Fair head retention.
Spicy Belgian aroma with clove notes. Some esters. A little sweet on the whole.
Moderately spicy on the palate. Quite earthy and very, very malty. This is a little "dirty" and lacks depth and character on the whole.
Medium-full body with moderate carbonation. Fine.
An okay Belgian-style ale. It is unfocussed on the palate and lacks a direction but the elements of a decent Belgian are here.
