DATE: May 2, 2020... OCCASION: watching Schitt$ Creek after another successful fire pit family night.... GLASSWARE: Rare Vos shaker... sizzling from the can, this pours a slightly hazy, light golden body erupting with bubbles... its off-white head simmers quickly to a thin film... looks refreshing, almost like a pilsner's frame... lemon peel and coriander, a bit of yeast funk, a hint of honey, but none of the sorghum... it has a light, refreshing aroma, in short... crisp, juicy like an apple, with enough bite to be analogous to eating a hard fruit.... the finish is dry like champagne, with lively effervescence...flavor profile is winning, with a refreshing orange and wheat-ish pulp, sweet honey, light herbal hints, some metallic tinges at the end, and the sweet earthiness of sorghum... overall, more nuanced than I first thought, and refreshing as a standard wheat ale might be... give Steadfast some credit for making a light, gluten-free refresher like this...
