Comes out of the tap a rich, opaque warm sable with a very thick and fine-bubbled tan head. Rich, smoky aroma has notes of caramel, molasses and sweet chocolate with a hint of roast coffee. Mouth-filling flavor has firm notes of roast malt, chocolate, caramel and molasses plus a quality coffee undertone. Thick-bodied smooth texture has a good amount of fizz. OK, so I’m partial to stouts, but IMHO this is Eagle & Lion’s best.
