DDH IPA feat. Whole Leaf Citra Hops
7.5% ABV
Poured from a 16oz. can into a Rastal Teku glass.
LOOK: This does not look like most DDH IPAs, or at least most NEIPAs. Darker orange/amber and opaque.
SMELL: Mostly hops and bitterness. Very slightly floral. Not much of the citrus/grapefruit that I might expect from a Citra IPA.
TASTE: Similar to the smell, I'm getting hoppiness. It's definitely good, nothing I don't like. Clean, not dank or chewy. Little bitter in the middle and back.
FEEL: Crisp. Mild to strong carbonation. Medium mouthfeel. Again, nothing thick or chewy. Very drinkable.
OVERALL: I like it. When I hear DDH IPA w/Citra, I'm thinking HAZY NEIPA. This reminds me more of a west coast IPA in look and even taste, which is fine: they don't call it "hazy" or anything like that.
