3 Sheep/Casanova Top Shelf Collaborations-Grotto BBA Imperial Stout, 13% ABV. Pours black with a one-finger light-brown head that left no lacing. Aromas are coffee, nuts, chocolate, and bourbon. Taste follows, moderately sweet, equally bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

16oz can. Can bottom is stamped for canning date of '03/30/2022'. Purchased at Casanova's in Hudson WI.
Dark cola brown colored body. Two fingers of fizzy tan head quickly disappears, and then an active surface bubble show commences. Just a couple of small spots of lacing.
Aroma is pistachio and chocolate up front, with coffee underneath. Dark roasted malts soaked in bourbon.
Taste is quite sweet, but with a prominent bourbon and oak presence. Later the chocolate and coffee kick in, and later still comes the pistachio. Getting to the chocolate, coffee, and pistachio is the better part of the taste profile. Almost a cocoa char in the aftertaste.
Slightly thinner mouth feel, but with some stickiness. Each sip gets the tongue dry and then a little burn (from the higher ABV%), Supportive carbonation.
Sweet, boozy, dry, and with the interesting addition of pistachio nut.

This beer pours a very dark brown color, almost black. The head is a 2 finger brown head. The head retention is ok, but almost no lacing on the g;ass.
The nose is a beautiful combination of coffee, pistachio, chocolate, and caramel.
Taste - There's coffee throughout the beer flavor. The pistachio hits more up front with me, The chocolate is more on the back, with caramel notes from the barrels used to age this beer.
The body does seem a bit thin, yet it's decent. There's a slight boozy feeling from the 13% ABV.
This is a solid beer that I picked up at Casanova liquor in Hudson. I'm glad I got it, but, wish i would have gotten a couple more.
