Appearance: Pours a slightly clear, somewhat hazy medium orange color with a strong white head. SRM of 7.
Aroma: Strong aromas of grapefruit citrus, pomelo, yellow grapefruit citrus.
Flavor: Moderate flavors of grapefruit citrus, lemon citrus, pomelo and yellow grapefruit. Some citrus and vinous notes from the yeast. Finishes dry and clean. No bitterness.
Feel: Lighter-bodied than expected, strong carbonation with a light, clean, dry finish. Yeasty and hides the alcohol well
Compared to Drekker Metaphase 10/2022: Pours a darker color. More grapefruit citrus. Less green and tropical citrus and melon.
Compared to 3 Sheeps Citra on the Dock of the Bay: Milder aromas. More green melon/tropical fruit. Less citrus and vinous yeast notes. Flatter and less dynamic.
Compared to Drekker Brace for the G's: Milder aromas. More green melon/tropical fruit. Less citrus and vinous yeast notes. Flatter and less dynamic.
Overall: A light and clean IPA that has a strong yeast presence. All citrus here. Tons of white and yellow grapefruit. Clean lemon, some vinous notes. Hints of the wild yeast. Dry, clean and yeast. Extremely drinkable for 8.3%. It's like 3/4 NEIPA and 1/4 Saison here. A unique and yeasty NEIPA. (Rating: 3.88)
