Appearance: Pours a mostly hazy (20%) clarity, light yellow color with a strong white head. SRM of 6. (3.75)
Aroma: Moderate aromas, grapefruit, pineapple, tropical melon, and oranges. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong and sweet flavors of candied, orange and grapefruit, tropical pineapple, berries underneath. Juicy, tropical and sweet. (4.25)
Feel: Medium to heavier body, carbonation to match. Creamy, smooth and slightly sweet. (4.00)
Compared to Half Acre Deep Moat 11/2023: Pours lighter, stronger aromas. More tropical orange, pineapple, melon. Less zesty grapefruit, citrus zest, and yeast. Smoother, sweeter, more tropical.
Overall: This is a thiolized IPA, which reminds me of their Cosmic Punch IPA from last year. Haven't had the Wai-iti hop before, but apparently it has stonefruit and tropical flavors. Shows off a lot here as this one is far more smooth, sweet and tropical than I expected. Not getting much of the thiolized yeast enhancement notes. This drinks in classic 3 Sheeps fashion.
