I think I'm being generous with my ratings here, believe it or not! I had this just to try a Romanian beer, and I have to say this beer scared me straight. It pours an amber color, but it's cloudy with no carbonation and little head. It lacked any detectable smell outside of alcohol. But the real kicker is the taste; putrid and undrinkable. I really don't know how I managed to drink half the bottle, I guess I was hoping it would get better and I wanted to give the beer a chance, but the only thing that improved was my feeling of nausea. I've tried to find something good to comment on, but I really can't think of anything except the bottle artwork which I thought was cool. To improve this beer, I think some of the initial ingredients need to go through some kind of Quality Assurance and Quality Control. A longer fermentation time with more distinct (and flavored) malts would be nice...but that might take this beer out of this particular category. This was easily the worst beer I have ever tried.

Found this on a singles rack while in DC last week and figured I'd try it. Cool Dracula logo probably results in much higher sales than this beer otherwise deserves. Pours a very pale, almost clear golden hue with a lot of fizzy carbonation. Small whisp of a bubbly head goes away as quickly as it comes. Slightly sour aroma of adjunct malt isn't unpleasant, but not wholly appetizing. Flavor of adjunct malt, a faint tinge of spicy hops, and a bit of a bready character. For all the fizzy carbonation, the mouthfeel is rather flat.Perhaps this sat on the shelf for too long. Whatever happened, I'm not a fan.

Produces a thin white head when poured. Color is a pale gold.
Smells of clean malt grain, bread, and low hops. Maybe a tiny bit of spice. Very slight red appley flavor. Nothing offensive, nothing particularly exciting. But the malty and appley flavors I am picking up do meld to create something that intrigues me.
Carbonation is moderate, body is light.
Tastes grainy, with a very slight hop bitterness present, almost to the point of being imperceptible. Clean and crisp. Again, nothing offensive, nothing exciting. Taste is a little more boring than the aroma. Sweetness lingers a little.
I bought this beer because it was from Romania. I'd buy it again because it is very easy drinking. Maybe this bottle was really fresh or something, but I feel that I liked it more than the other reviewers. I purchased this bottle from a small corner shop while in Arlington with dirtylou during a stop on our voyage to DFH.

Ahhh, the Romanian Budweiser. I guess thats not nice, Drax is smoother than Bud, but with the same thin consistency. The short, sharp metalic spike that raked across my tastebuds is not as chemically as in a cool Bud.
Pale yellow color, fluffy white head, if anything it smells like warm air. This goes down easy but as others mentioned the most outstanding part of the beer is the lable.

Well, the bottle is cool. Nice looking beer, but it has that skunky hop nose that scares me more than the bloodsucker on the label...is it supposed to smell like that? A little malty, a little hoppy, and all around a fair beer. I assumed it would be utter crap, sold only due to the label, but I was wrong. It was a drinkable beer. At a bonfire just hanging out I would consider bringing it just for novelty and poundability.

This was a given for my label collection and for the price of a Sunday newspaper, why not. It poured with a monster fluffy head that collapse under itself. I tried this beer with some highly seasoned crawfish and I have to say that it went well with them. It did a good job with all the spices. Definitely need to have something with this beer, kind of jagged on it's own.

Like other people I bought this in October thanks to the cool scary label. Unfortunately the beer is pretty scary too. Weak golden color with a very thick head and minimal effervescence. Slightly skunked/hoppy aroma. Sweet flavor but it is completely uninteresting. This beer is only going to get mileage as a Halloween decoration.

On the dark side with a honey gold color and white, hollow head. Mellow, grassy hop notes on the nose as well as biscuity, toasty malt. Decently intense attack of sharp, angular crust, metal and bitter greens gives up quickly leaving a pure bitter flavor reminiscent of green wood. Substantial and without any glaring errors.
