A pretty nice, standard American hefeweizen.

Pours hazy yellow/orange with nice head and decent retention.

Shows that nice grain, malt character with citrus and spice on the nose and palate. Very good though nothing exceptional.

Finishes light and clean despite the 6% abv listed. Refreshing and balanced.

1/2 pint served in a small shaker at the brewery, ice cold (I guess they never read Red's review!), Standing Stone's hefe is a cloudy pale yellow with a wispy white skim that leaves light lace.

Smell is very soft, even after the tedious waiting process to let it warm, gaining a little wheat sourness, and traces of the lemon wedge that I neglected to tell them not to put into my beer. Bonus points for the dirty rind!

Taste is nice and estery, more clove then banana, with a grainy, acrid finish.

Mouthfeel is very creamy and carbonated, with a medium-light body.

Drinkability is average, easy drinking enough, but nothing super exciting.

Served brutally, painfully cold, like a soldier fighting some archaic cold war. This leaves me with precious little to do for fifteen minutes aside from engaging in conversation (gasp!) and admiring the densely clouded pink lemonade color and velvety soft head. At last, the brew warms to serving temperature and I am treated to a crisp, dry hefe with no lace and an aftertaste I am prepared to take to a pawnshop.

A good zesty breakfast beer.

Cloudy, straw golden with a foamy white head and good retention and lacing. Very mild carbonation. Aroma is of mild amount of banana and clove esters. Taste begins with strong amonts of bananas, a slight note of alcohol, very mild bitterness, and ends in a wet finish. Mouthfeel is smooth with a rather thin body. Pleasantly surprised given the other brews I sampled. Nice...exceptionally easy to drink.
