On tap on the beach and at the brewery (an unusual combination) in Tamarindo, Costa Rica. Pours a good-looking reddish golden amber with a thin off-white head. Initial impression is roasty malts with a hint of caramel and a delicate hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium, as is carbonation. Finish is smooth and malty. Pretty good example of the style, and WAY better than you'll find elsewhere in the Caribbean or Central America.

I stayed a cople of times at their hotel/ microbrewery in Arenal and I got the feeling the beer tasted differente every time but good each time.
Today I got it in a plastic cup to go at witch's Rock surf camp at Tamarindo where they moved the brewhouse. It smells hoopy and yeasty. With a small head that persist till the very last sip. The flavor is dominated by its maltyness and a hint of sweetness and smoky background but one of the most interesting features is its nutty quality almost like bitting and almond.
It ended kinda dry and astringent but overall this a very good beer that keeps evolving during the years.
