The colour is gold (7 EBC), the liquid clear. The three finger head is off-white and airy. It sinks slowly without leaving some lacing.

The smell is a tad unclean. Hints of paint/solvents. Bitter and flowery notes of noble hops. A touch of milk chocolate in the background.

The taste is at first clean and somewhat bitter. Some hints of yeast and dough. Minerals, molasses and some wort. The aftertaste is sweeter with a slowly growing interesting sweet liquorice flavour. Liquorice and some sweet malty notes in the finish as well as some green berries.

The carbonation is strong; lots of small bubbles. The liquid is semi-smooth and a little sticky.

I really like the subtle liquorice flavour in the aftertaste, but there are some… unripe flavours in the base beer that don't appreciate.

Served slightly chilled into a snifter with the print "Swedish craft beer".

A: White fluffy head that steadily descents into the somewhat murky golden liquid. I would say the bubbles are typical for the type. It leaves a lot of lacing on the sides of the glass and after a minute or so all that's left of the crown is a thin blanket of white foam.

S: The first thing that strikes me is the metallic, battery, smell you usually get from lagers. There's some nice sweetness going on with hints towards butter and earthy nuts. The hops are there and they give me a spicy scent of the noble kind. One smell that I find a little bit off is a scent that reminds me of a pair of socks that's been trapped in a pair of shoes a hot summer day. Quite interesting for euro pale lager, but it seems very similar to their ordinary Helsingborg Lager.

T: The first taste that strikes my taste buds is a buttery sweetness, allthough it does not last very long before the hops take over with a charecteristic herby, spicy taste that must be coming from European hops. It almost goes towards having a bit of a flowery hop profile. At the root of the tounge there is an unmistakable bitterness.
The aftertaste is bland. I get no apparent liquorice.

M: There is some body to it, I would say on the further side of light on the scale towards medium. A bit more body than what is typical for the type. Medium carbonation and lies gently on the tounge.

O: Most certanly balanced and drinkable but overall it's simple and dull. Gets some minus for the lack of liquorice. A good beer for a hot summer day when you don't want anything too challenging.

A: Pours golden with a medium-tall fluffy/uneven off-white head. Only faint lacings after dissipation.

S: Not that strong in smell; sweetness from the malt and some bitterness from the hops. Some fruits or berries lure in the back - but the licorice isn't there...

T: Tastes bitter from hops and a bit sweet from the malts. The fruits/berries from the smell is still present, but the licorice is still lacking.

M: Aftertaste is nice and just long enough; bitter. The body is medium while carbonation is rich.

O: Sadly the licorice was well hidden and very mild - a dissapointment since I think the licorice could really make this beer better.

The beer is foggy light straw colored, a white head with little lacing and rather small curtains.

Smelling of jam, possibly with goose berries.

Staring with white bread, gosse berry marmalade, and then finishing of with sweet licorice (Lakrits in Swedish).

Medium low carbonation, soft, then a dryness that finishes of rather sharp and "chemical".

Interesting, but for me no favorite.
