What happened to this one? My last glass sixes have been totally bland. This used to be my go to. Taste? Smell? Head? Nothing.

Pours a hazy, deep golden color with a wispy egg-shell colored head. Some lacing on the glass.

The aroma is of an old school east coast IPA, some pine and light resin. Hint of tropical fruit.

Nice bready malt with honey notes. Touch of toast. The hops are of light pine and resin; nothing aggressive. Grass notes as well.

Moderate body with appropriate carbonation. Sweet and bitter on the palate; all in balance.

Nice take on an old school east coast IPA. Nothing aggressive so it is quite drinkable.

Poured from a 16 oz bottle purchased from Shaws in Manchester. Pours deep, opaque yellow with minimal head but good lacing. Tastes of bitter citrus - orange rinds? - and good hop taste. More west coast than NE... which isn't bad. Good stuff.

Great Beer! Delicious hops presence that lingers throughout from beginning to end. Delicious, full malt profile. Spicy aroma sets this apart. Pure enjoyment.

Very attractive golden amber color below a dense white head. The liquid is slightly hazy but in a good ol' fashioned way. Lots of lace streaks trail the fallen foam.
Aromas of damp forest and fresh dinner rolls glazed with sugar water. Some citrus and cooked porridge notes dance behind the conifer and yeasty bread smells.
The flavor is a bit of a let down from the nose but still a solid pale ale trying hard to be an IPA character comes through.
Very good balance of hop bite and malt sweetness but it lacks residual sugars and toffee depth of flavor I look for in an IPA.
East coast versions of the style are notoriously more timid than the left coast renditions and this is no exception to that rule.
Up front sweetness gives way quickly to the boil hop bitterness that turns dry on the back end.
The finish is grassy and dry but in a nice "I;m drinkin' a hoppy beer" sorta way.
This could be bolder and more complex but hey - so could I, and I'm ok with me.

Look - Pours a dark cloudy amber with large bubble head that does not last more than a few seconds

Smell - Citris earthy odor. Not much by way of hops

Taste - Somewhat fruity to start with a bitterness that follows

Feel - Nice carbonation

Overall - I enjoyed this beer although if you are a ho head you may find it lacking

A Vermont classic. Nice IBU, nice color, I appreciate the bitterness at the end. A good old classic IPA for me.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle dated 09/28/19. Sampled on Oct. 26, 2019.

A slightly cloudy looking orange-amber pour with a cream colored head that fades fast. Moderate clarity.

Bright fruity and citrus characters greet the nose with a more muted cereal and grainy malt sensation. Dank.

Light to medium mouthfeel.

The fruitiness plays up big in the taste and erupts into a moderate bitterness to close it out. Clean finale.

16oz. can served in my Spiegelau ale glass. Pours a burnished orange with a tight, half inch, bright white head. Clarity is hazy. Nose expresses candied citrus and herbal/piney notes. Taste Follows nose, albeit muted, with a malty, somewhat taste neutral backbone. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a consistent, even carbonation. Overall, a decent old school east coast IPA.
