16 oz can. Pours copper amber with a small off white head that quickly goes to a thin collar.
The aroma is sweet caramel and toffee malts with some figgy fruit.
The flavor is sweet caramel and toffee with fruit and a bit of a bitter alcohol finish. The mouthfeel is thin and watery.
Overall, a thin sweet winter warmer.

Fits the bill for a end-of-the-night sipper or a perfect addition to a meal. Not too sweet or spiced, but just enough to feel special.

i thought this beer was excellent, maybe my favorite of the big choice beers to date. they apparently soak vanilla beans in bourbon for the brew, and i definitely get that in this one, plenty of bourbon character, but its still a beer at its core, with a rich and robust medium toast grain profile and a hint of maple sweetness in it. honey maybe, but definitely fresh and certainly from nature. i like this in the after ski context, its light enough in body to drink up, unlike a big stout or something, but has a similar profile to a good one in the bourbon and vanilla aspect, and combines elements of mulling spice or hot sangria or something with the citrus in here. loads of different flavors, all very unconventional, but coming together really expertly. they have hit a home run with this one, and i hope it gets them some more attention among the beer geeks, this is very impressive beer. love the bourbon infusion on it, nice buzz too!
