A - Pitch black, opaque, tan head, full and pillowy, persistent. Major major lacing. Pretty.
S - Pine is full and front. A bit of dark roast. Dusty minerality.
T - Blast of pine, minor hits of grass, a suggestion of roasty black coffee that becomes a bit more prominent as the beer warms, and a bitter line to the close. This line hints at aspirin, which is its only real misfire, but the rest of the journey is quite solid.
M - Sharp and drying, but fades quickly.
O - A strong, powerful beer. The hop starts to tilt beyond bitter, but I still find the experience a good one.

22oz bottle, 6% ABV, purchased at the brewery.
A 4.5 - very creamy, tan head holds excellent retention atop a nearly black body with some deep ruby-chestnut hues when held to light
S 3.75 - pine, roasted barley, chocolate, french roast coffee
T 4 - bold flavors with pine and roasted barley dominating the palate. Burnt caramel, bread crust, earth, grapefruit rind blends in nicely
M 3.25 - thinner side of medium for body, fairly astringent on the pungently bitter finish
O 3.75 - good flavors, body is a bit too light for me, still a pretty good beer though.
