a straight up corn lager, crafted of course, but seems like a tip of the cap to the old macro yellow stuff that used to be mostly grain. it works as an all day crusher, a party beer, or something like that, but also as an interlude between heavy beers in a session. i think its got enough body and flavor to stand on its own, but it also works with the other, more interesting and substantial brews that these guys make. a touch sweet, but well balance by soft hops. crystal clear, radiantly carbonated, and not at all offensive like so many macros can be. it doesnt taste metallic or cheap at all, and actually has quite a bit more body than most beer that comes in 30 packs. i appreciate the gesture here, to craft a beer like this and demonstrate how good it can be, but also to have an option in house for those less inclined toward the typical craft styles. a great bridge crosser type, and we still need those. i could drink these all day in a summer setting. good beer, but i prefer their more adventurous offerings.
