Standard murky brown barleywine body. One half finger white head. Smell is toffee, caramel, lots of bourbon barrel presence. A bit hot. Medium body, thinner than expected, probably from the extended barrel aging.

So what I said about the 1 year aged version still applies. Rich, bold, slightly sweet, and dark. Now just add a punch to the face of booze! No burn though so still appropriate. Like bourbon soaked raisin and brown sugar with standard barley snarl combining with the booze. Loses some of sweeter complexity, but still very good!
