Kudos for brewing this style. Pours a deep brown color with a nice thick tan head. Nice aroma of bread and dark fruits. Taste follows the aroma, malt forward and with a sweet finish. Hops are present but only to balance out the malt bill. Mouthfeel is relatively thin, with some stickiness from the malt. Alcohol is undetected. Absolute fantastic brown, IMO.

Brown, but light passes through easily. Lasting beige head which leaves a blanketing veil of lace.
Smokey, darker malt nose. Some black patent malt. Some ashen aromas.
This is a more burnt brown ale. The smokiness is more tamed in the tasting. Good body for a Brown Ale but still thin by most standards. Long charcoal aftertaste.
