Australians know that at all times you need to be Drop Bear wise. Always hunting, Drop Bears are essentially the predatory and carnivorous koala bear waiting patiently from the Eucalyptus. To do our part for awareness we’re dropping this double IPA showcasing Galaxy. An intense tropical citrus aroma and flavor with a topnote of stone fruit combines with a firm malt body to balance the gentle warming of the 7.3% ABV. Look up, the Drop Bear is coming.

On draft, 16 oz
Opaque, a little hazy/murky yellow/orange. The head is coarse and dissipates after a couple minutes. Strong earthy and piney hop notes dominate with some citrus and malt. Taste is herbal, earthy, citrus, followed by a light malt sweetness, with a dry finish. Feel is medium to smooth with some lingering hop feel. Overall a delicious IPA that is hazy, but dominated by resinous/piney/earthy flavors, with the fruity notes backing it up.

Love this. Can't beat the can or the feel. I feel like they brew this with hemp or something else if you catch my drift. Tastes good, and makes you feel bubbly/silly after only one ;). Good stuff!

Dated 6/26/18 on the bottom rim of the can, 6 weeks since brewing.

Pours an ever so slightly cloudy deep amber-brown in the glass with a finger + half of off-white coarse head. Nose of tropical fruit and citrus; notes of passion fruit, tangerine peel, slight peach and an indistinct darker malt. Positive first impressions but it's all downhill from here. Taste is underwhelming. It's just... indistinct. Tropical notes coming close to passion fruit but not really getting there and a sweet darker soughdough malt, that's about it. Medium-light watery body and it's seriously under-carbonated, verging on flat. It's 7.3% is well hidden however. It is better than your average unnamed IPA shelfie, sure. Will I be picking this up again? Nah.
