Had on tap. Super dark brown, almost black, with surface lacing and ring. I found the original to be a whimsical snack/dessert brown ale. The bourbon adds some thickening to round it out more, feel not as thin and sweet. However the smell and taste definitely still are though! Toffee, caramel, tons of malt, vanilla, cocoa, bourbon mash flavorings all make up this sweet treat. Taste more expansive than smell. The wife loved it
