This is an English-style Barleywine that is aged in bourbon barrels. This one is very malt forward with a nice sweet toffee flavor up front and a smooth bourbon flavor in the finish. The bourbon was not overbearing and was not hot. It was a nice way to offset the malty sweetness. It was a bit thin but overall it was very good.
