Certified Lager Boy

16 fl. oz can, no date, but I know these guys are still fairly fresh. A "German style Dunkel lager" if you look hard enough, for those who thought this was gonna be some light yellow colored beer.

Poured to a Central Waters snifter.
Pours a deep dark ruby color. Finger of frothy off-white / khaki head that leaves excellent spotty lacing.
Aroma is fresh, full of dark fruits & breadiness. Creamy breadiness.
Flavor profile is much darker & roastier than I would have imagined based on the smell alone. Tastes super dark, bitter, roasty, even charred. Hops are there, herbal, but subtle, all fruit character is super light, pushed strictly to the background. This thing tastes almost stout-like.
Feel: dark, bitter, roasty, dry. Feels way heavier than the 5.2% abv on the can.
