Hopfenweisse Style Ale with Riwaka, Talus, and Eclipse Hops
Modern, sessionable, hazy IPA–informed take on the traditional hoppy Weizenbock or Hopfenweisse. Big ripe banana from fermentation, then layers of hop aroma ranging from twangy grapefruit, to piña colada, to Mandarin orange.

16oz can, thanks to Ken!
L: hazy yellow body capped by a rocky off-white head that holds incredible retention
S: banana, pineapple, candied grapefruit, Mandarin orange
T: loads of flavor: yeasty banana with background clove & bubblegum; wheat; hops add tropical pineapple, candied orange & grapefruit, and leafy Riwaka - I can never describe it but I love its flavor
F: medium body, creamy and a bit resinous, balanced finish
O: I’m a sucker for Riwaka hops AND a good, yet rarely found in the wild Hopfenweisse, so this was a definite winner for me
