Taken from notes, had on tap at the brewery itself in a snifter.
A - A cloudy amber/reddish hue to a golden backdrop, actually quite nice. I can see how the cherries and chardonnay barrels affected this.
S - The cherry comes through in the smell, with a wine backdrop and a little belgian funk. Pretty pungent out of the glass, this aroma doesn't hide.
T - The cherry and chardonnay come together in the taste to create a sharp sweet taste. Once it warms, more oak and vanilla type flavors creep in. The belgian side of things creates a nice smooth flavor that allows the front end taste of the barrel aging to flow all the way through a sip.
M - Quite drinkable, tad sweet and heavy perhaps, but I'd gladly sacrifice that for the taste.
O - Very good beer in my opinion. Flavor from front to back, and a smell that made me keep coming back to it. I really hope this gets brewed again.
