Served in a tall-stemmed globe at the tap room.

According to the menu in front of me, this is a "double red rye aleger", one that employs a lager yeast at ale temperatures. Fair enough. It pours a mostly clear sunset garnet-ruby topped by a finger of wan khaki foam. The nose comprises toffee, dry rye bread, candied orange peel, mild clove, light grass, and light flowers. The taste brings in more of the same, with a touch more spice and a hint of dried maple syrup. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a very pleasant little brew, one that showcases the fun of yeast.
