When I heard they were going to build a brew pub on base and only a half mile from the house I was living in at the time I was excited, to say the least. It took over a year to complete construction and open this place. I stopped in opening weekend and was let down totally. I waited a year before going again, and it hasnt improved at all. I added this place because maybe I am just expecting too much, and others might like it. I wanted to make sure anyone that didnt know about it had the opportunity to try it out.

This place is located on base NAS Lemoore, and you will need to have someone in the military get you on base to go. It is next to the pool, across from the gym.

The inside looks nice with a bar area to the left, and a seperate room with a bar on the right. Dining is on the left, with plenty of tables. It is clean and presentable, and well lit.

The beer selection is sub par as far as I am concerned. They havd 4 beers on tap when I was there last. A "Lager", a "Blonde", a "Pils" and a "Wheat" beer. They all looked the same when I ordered them, and they pretty much tasted the same. I didnt expect much since this place is on a Navy base and there are few good beers in the area, but they could go for a little variety. Maybe a Pale or an IPA? The beers were not bad to drink, just not great, and no distinction between them.

The service was very slow. It took a long time to get pints, and the food took forever. The staff has absolutely no idea about beer. They are mostly Navy wives from base.

The food was awfull. Both times I went, I got sick from the food. The Fish Tacos were cold, and rubbery. Even the cheese sticks were cold in the middle. My son said the burger was good though.

Price wise, for the beer this place is pretty decent. $3.50 a pint if I recall. Not too bad, but I wouldnt ever spend another dollar on the food.

I no longer live on base, so I doubt I will be going here again. However, it is close to the housing, and I think it is the only place an Enlisted Sailor can get a pint on base, so it might just be worth it if you live there.
