Ha ha! How amusing that I just happened across this one on one of my beer shopping expeditions & not only added it, but also submitted the approved pic. I have been drinking a number of alcopops recently & this one just seemed to dovetail nicely with the rest of the madness going on here at Chez Woody.
From the bottle: "Contains alcohol".
By golly, I hope so! I unscrewed the screwed-up screw-top cap, depriving me of a Pop! & aggravating me as a result. My heavy-handed pour was incapable of raising anything more than a brief, fizzy finger of bone-white head that acted like pop in the glass. Speaking of pop, the color was a hazy Oyster White (SRM = N/A) & looked like hazy 7-Up. Hmm. Nose smelled super-sweet, like Malibu Coconut Rum or Hawai'ian Tropic Sunscreen, but at least there was no question that coconut was involved at some level. Mouthfeel was thin, fizzy & watery, again, back to the notion of pop. The taste, while definitely of coconut, also had a mild astringency, making me think that artificial flavors may have been involved at some level. Finish was sweet, very much of coconut, but just not my bag.
