The crystal clear golden yellow beer pours out into a Duvel glass with a 1/2” fluffy white head that soon recedes to a ring around the glass and a thin layer of foam on the surface, while leaving a few scattered patches of lacing. Sipping creates scattered small patches of lacing that shrink a bit as they cling to the sides of the glass. By mid-way through the beer there are still patches and legs of lacing on the sides of the glass and a very thin, irregular island of foam on the surface of the beer.
The light aromas include some bready malt and a touch of grassy hops.
The flavors are much as expected from the nose with the malt and its light almost bready sweetness providing a counterpoint to the light grassy hops.
The mouthfeel is light bodied and nicely smooth and crisp with the light, finely bubbled persistent carbonation. The moderately long finish begins as the sweetness fades to let the light grassiness of the hops show to the clean, crisp dry, slightly grassy and slightly bitter ending.
On the whole I found this an interesting beer and enjoyed exploring its subtle blending of aromas and flavors. If I wanted to pick a light refreshing beer for an evening out with friends this one would be at or near the top of my list of the light beers I’ve tried. However, if intensity of flavors is your thing, don’t bother with this beer.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass.
Look: Golden color with a fluffy white head. Mediocre head retention and fair lacing.
Smell: Some sweetness and Cracker. Almost metallic? A little funky.
Taste: Dry and funky. Cracker. Honey. Fruity, like a grape or something. Slight hop bitterness.
Feel: A light body and strong carbonation make for an easy to drink beer.
Overall: I don't really like this. It honestly just tastes weird to me. It's quite dry, which helps it pair with food alright, but I wouldn't pick it. It would make an ok summer/ outside beer.

One of the most eye catching beers when in the bottle, the clear bottle with the white label and gold trim looks good. I did a blind taste test with a Michelob Ultra the first time I had this beer, and to me I enjoyed it more than the OG Ultra. The 3.8% abv and the Michelob tax are a turn off, also all of the fake save the planet stuff on the bottle. However 3.8% is enough for a decent buzz, and I liked the taste. It is possible that I repurchase this one in the future.

The so called “real beer” drinkers really miss out on a delicious, charming and refreshing beer when they scoff at this unique little brew. Color: light, crisp, pure gold. Everything about the bottle and design lauds clean and crisp. Imagine: you just worked 15 hours finishing a technical and laborious project at work. Your boots, dirty. Your shoulders, sore. There’s mud on your pants and a pair of work gloves, like confidants or old friends, riding passenger in the work truck. You clock out and head to quench your thirst, noticing first the craft brews and all their credibility, the tried and true heftier bevy’s that impress many a man in flannel gatekeeping “real beer”. alas your eyes catch a glint of a golden, smart looking longneck: PURE GOLD light lager. Intrigued, you look closer to see that it’s organic. Whatever, you think, but it looks refreshing, so light, like it could restore you to hydration and tranquility, and add a bit of relaxation with just 3.something percent alcohol. You get home and crack one open, taking a few sips quickly to check the flavor before raining salt into the long neck in order to enhance its hydrating qualities, smooth the flavor, and reduce needless fizz. THIS is the beauty of this beer. It’s a REAL, drinkable and hydrating (low alcohol) beer that you can drink several of after a hard days work. Light beer IS real beer. The organic label is an important side benefit when factoring for American farm products (beer grains) relative to your overall passive pesticide consumption. There are literally less exotic chemicals of any kind in this brew than your average inorganic “real beer”. This beer and many like it represent an important genre: blue collar. mich you made a smart, noteworthy rice beer with clean color and virtually no aftertaste or rough edges

L: Pours clear golden yellow with light carbonation, a thin white evaporating head, almost no lacing.
S: A hint of grains.
T: Very light, distant, processed grains or something. No aftertaste.
F: Lightly brisk, fizzy light-bodied feel with a fast, clean finish.
O: I've most likely rated it too high but as far as light low calorie beers go, this one is right in the wheelhouse. It's right if you don't really like bitter beer and if you like to be physically active. The reason I'm rating it the way I am is due to its lack of flavor and what flavor it does have isn't that good. If there were more details to describe it I would. It's barely okay in its style.

It is what it is and I’m fine with that . It’s not a big heavy flavorful craft beer but it’s a nice easy drinking beer that is also organic ,which I appreciate as an added bonus . Honestly it taste better than regular mich ultra .

Pours a crystal clear dark straw, 10-second 1" head that dissipates to nothing, no lacing, lots of active carbonation for about a minute. Nose is light grain and malt, a hint of skunk, a little lemon oil; not at all offensive, but very light. It is shockingly hard to decipher a flavor. But there aren't any off flavors, so there's that. Feel is light, but nice sharp and crisp carbonation. Nothing disgusting about it.

clear glass bottle full of golden skunk piss. grainy and ethanol on the nose but it’s light. taste is somehow worse than the nose with a kind of grainy, earthy aftertaste. man, i dig MichUlt but this isn’t nearly as tasty or really even as drinkable.

Giving this 'beer' every benefit today... glassware, an ultra-clean palate, and a big thirst after yard work and treadmill.
Much, much better than its standard counterpart...this one's at least beer-colored, kinda smells like beer, and a very slight sense of beer flavor detected. For just 1% of additional ABV, a person could enjoy a truly delicious High LIfe. This product makes no sense to me. Unless you're drinking a hundred beers a day the calorie difference is negligible from an actually full-flavored AAL.

I don't share much in common with you drinkers that like fruity beer because I don't buy it. and it's disingenuous of Mich Ultra not to say that on the can. I would have bought something else. It's light and crisp like Mich Ultra but this time it's all grapefruit and tastes like a Sprite.
I poured a 25 oz can (I like their creativity) into a plastic tumbler. Very light, carbonated mouth feel, smells sweet but not like corn, like chemical citric acid. It's a grapefruit hit on the tongue, and a little other citrus, and refreshing. Like a lemon lime soda. But this isn't really beer. It's more a malt-liquor Zima type drink.
In fact I taste no beer at all. I was glad when it was done.
