Anheuser-Busch "Bud Light Lemonade"
12 fl. oz. can coded "20078 BH 2221"
$2 @ Acme #2762, Philadelphia, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: I've poured this already and while I'm typing the initial information I can hear it fizzing like a soda pop. interesting. The body is a hazy golden and the head is a thin lid of bright white foam. As you might expect it smells like lemonade. It's made with real lemon peels and natural flavors. The taste is similar to the flavor. It's not as seet as lemonade and there is some beer character to it but it overall tastes like a radler - beer with lemonade mixed in. It's not bitter, nor is it very acidic, just lemon-like. In all honesty I find it kind of dull. In the mouth it's light to light-medium in body and gently crisp. The carbonation is fine-bubbled and gently crisp-then-smooth. As a summer beer I could see this having a purpose. It's just 4.2% ABV so you could drink a few of them, and there's at least some character to it. A case of these on a chartered fishing cruise would be nice, or even just a simple backyard barbeque. I'd much rather have one of these than a hard seltzer or vodka based drink.

Bought a variety 12-pack cans $15.27 Walmart
Smells like lemonade
Hazy golden color
Light-medium mouthfeel
Medium-light carbonation
Taste like bud light with lemonade, light tartness
Overall not bad for what it is. Light and refreshing, not sweet (which is good).

25 ounce can into IPA glass, canned on 7/14/2020. Pours very hazy deep gold, 2 finger dense head, soapy lacing, streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of fresh lemon juice and peels, with some cracker grain and light grassy hops. Light herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body. Very crisp and refreshing, zero warmth of alcohol. Nice soft grain note like a wheat beer. Finishes relatively dry from carbonation. Actually has a solid amount of actual beer taste, so I was very satisfied.

I found a 12 ounce can of this on the discount shelf at my local convenience store. It's been sitting there for about a month now.
But since I had some extra money on me, I splurged out a dollar for this... thing. Just to try it.
I gotta say, I absolutely hate the white on yellow theme. It's difficult to read and just a plain eyesore. Whoever thought up the white on yellow design and approved it need to both be publicly flogged.
Anyway...
The smell and taste is what you'd expect. It's a kinda like carbonated, spiked Minute Maid.
With an ABV of 4.2% you'd be much better off just getting some random kind of lemonade and mixing it with vodka.
This is a sorry-ass beverage. I only spent a dollar on it and still feel conned. I'd expect better from a big name like Bud Light. Shame.

Poured from a 12oz can into a red Solo cup. Purchased as a 12-pack variety pack from Wal-Mart for $11.99.
L - Dark straw with a 1cm light tan head that dissipates quickly.
S - An almost chemical lemonpeel scent. Sugary barley. Smells like it's going to be tart.
T - Taste follows nose. Candied lemonpeel. Pine-sol. Grass.
F - Lightly carbonated. Very tart. Doesn't exactly make you feel "full".
O - It's definitely drinkable, I'll give it that. For what it is, it's not too terrible. Can't see myself drinking this again unless it's at a party or BBQ. I didn't even realize it, but I drank the whole can in about two minutes, so that's pretty neat. Doesn't taste like beer, or even a shandy at that. If you don't like most beers and you don't feel like paying much for it, this'll be your go-to.

They definitely improved the flavor. I remember when I first tried this when it came out it was pretty bad. Then a buddy brought a case over after about a year since my first taste and it was much better than my first experience. Would like to see Bud Light experiment with more beers, they certainly have the resources to do so...
