Combining the crispness of Busch with the light sweetness of apple flavor, it's like the sound of refreshment meets the taste of the orchard.

This is something you wouldn't expect to come out of a Busch branded can. Crisp, slightly tart, with not much beer flavor to speak of besides an aftertaste of wheat and hops. Looks like a normal beer, smells like a tub of apples, tastes like the juice of a granny smith, feels like it too, and all in all a refreshing experience from start to finish.

Home (Chicago, Illinois) 5/30/26. Can Notes: Grifted by my brother Andrew on April 30, 2026. Refrigerated until opening this afternoon. 12 oz, no can date but best by date of October 5, 2026. Can code SJ2305, 4.1% ABV. Limited Edition Light Apple Lager with natural flavor. 130 Calories, 11.8g Carbohydrates, < 1g Protein, 0g Fat. Anheuser-Busch, Saint Louis, Missouri.

Appearance: Crystal clear golden yellow straw base, heavy sustained carbonation, egg white head leaves thin cover over full base with creamy excess along the rings and razor thin lacing along my AB beer glass post full 12 oz can pour. Looks great! 4.5

Aroma: Mostly apple, while pouring, first attempt post pour and throughout, with light malt notes at times. 3.75

Taste: Apple, part the real McCoy, part taffy apple, yet restrained in terms of expectations / possible fear. Even less malt here, this is pure Apple bliss for even a non big apple fan that I am. 4.0

Mouthfeel: Sweet, but not too sweet, not sure what is balancing. Drinks stronger than the 4.1% ABV. Lightly dry, full sustained slightly prickly but heavily bloating carbonation. As Apple as Fiona and as the Day is Long. 4.25

Overall: This is a solid beer for those who like / love apple, and even those on the fence like I am. Full blown apple, enjoying, only change would be to easy up on the carbonation, but that is more of my personal preference than I desire many may have. Thank you Andrew for this first of two latest gift beers, and glad I got to try. Would order drafts or a six pack, but a brick is a bridge too far with my one home beer a day regimen. 4.25

16 ounce can, best before date of 06OCT26 stamped on the bottom of the can. Served in a Teku glass, the beer pours a clear pale gold color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells mostly like tart green apples, along with a bit of candied apple sweetness. For the most part the taste is just like the aroma, but with a bit of grainy malt noticeable too. As with the aroma, this beer is all about the apple! Mouthfeel/body is light, it's smooth and easy enough to drink with a good amount of carbonation. Would be great for a hot day! I talked one of my buddies into buying a sixer of this last weekend so figured I'd get a can to review. It's better than I was expecting, it's good for what it is and certainly worth trying. I can see why people like this one a lot.

After YEARS, I finally got my hands on some of AB InBev's biggest Fear Of Missing Out beer Busch Light Apple. Appearance has a bit more of a golden color than the usual transparent yellow Busch Light has. Apple smell on the nose and on the tongue, of course. Kind of a mixture of fresh apple and candy apple taste, not overly sweet as I expected, and has a bit of a dry finish. No real beer flavor. Bapple is a decent product, but I feel like if it was out year round and well stocked, it would be way less popular.

cvlt, as the black metallers say. You cannot get this stuff, when it arrives on the beer truck - because everyone has claimed/held cases of it, prior to it hitting the shelves. There is nothing left to say. AB hit a home run with this one. This, is where a man/woman’s world converge. White claw? NAh. Bapple? Hell yeah! Cheers!

This year it's more sour but it hits oh so very hard on a hot night. Hits extra hard watching the sunset or around a fire.

Honestly if you put this in one glass and Angry Orchard Green Apple in another glass. Didn't tell me which one was which. Gave it to me. I would have no idea which is which. They both have the same seemingly genuine apple crisp taste up front and that same somewhat synthetic Jolly Rancher green apple sweet back taste of sour apple. Just a little sour on both. Smells almost alike-- again Jolly Rancher green apple candy. The Busch is a lighter pale yellow but the Angry Orchard is a bit more active on the carbonation note. So there's a visual cue. The other is the head. Busch can produce a very foaming head that retains to a very thin one with vague lacing after 15-20 minutes while the Angry Orchard is little to no crown. Aside from those visual cues though, the taste and smell profile are more or less the same. Both have a thin crisp mouthfeel. Both have a tart and sweet candy apple after taste. Both are wet on the tongue. I starting to suspect AB poured some Angry Orchard into its beer and called it a day. I would not drink more than 3 of these lest you risk a headache from what I suspect is a bit of residual sugar/HFCS but it's a good hot weather drink to have over the course of a couple hours. Not a keg party chugger though. If you want to feel fancy, put it in a champagne glass. The 12 pack was a bit more than standard Busch ($12.39 vs $10.99) and I'm betting because of demand they do that because believe it or not-- this is pretty popular in the Northeast and upper parts of NY state. The first place I saw it this season? Dollar General. Works for me.

12oz can, shared with my wife. Thanks to Ellie for the can to try!
L: drank from the can, ice cold and slightly slushy
S: very apple-y
T: green apple Jolly Rancher per my wife; I agree. Some background pale malt and grassy hops are present as well.
F: lighter body, sweet yet a bit tart apple on the finish
O: I mean, would I buy this or drink it again? Probably not. But I’m also not mad at it and it was better than expected.
