A: Pours a clear gold with a two-finger head that faded quickly leaving no lace.

S: Bready malt with little hop scent.

T: Very sweet front and center lead to a metalic bitter finish and aftertaste. Slightly oxidized, but in a "typical" way.

M: Light mouthfeel with medium carbonation.

D: There are better examples of the style, but you could guzzle a few of these.

I had the beer years ago but I doubt it has changed. Mild aroma, moderately hopped with decent head retention. Good Pils. Goes down very easy and has good mouth feel. Refreshing!
Similar to Bitburberger and Grosch. I wish I knew where I could get some of the good solid Pils here in the USA.

Pours a healthy golden color with a snow white pillowy head and aromas redolent of fresh bread. Flavors are clean, mellow and grainy with gentle malt flavors running mildly sweet. A well balanced pils that begs for bread, meat and mustard. Perhaps a trip to the German deli for some veal brauts?

Sampled on tap in Frankfurt am Main.

This pils poured a clear, golden color with creamy, white foam that clung to the glass and left good lace. The smell was modest: malty with some bready notes. The taste was malty with a trace of sweetness. There were some bread and grain flavors, with a touch of bitter hops in the finish. The mouthfeel was smooth and creamy with medium body and good carbonation. It was dry overall. This was a decent pils that was easy to drink.

Looks accurately announce taste. Light yellow, clear, white head that fades to no lace. Looks like an american light beer. No real nose, again, smells like an american light beer. Basically just astringently dry, little malt, little floral hop, bitter finish. This is not a beer to seek out, either in Germany or at home.

0.5l (in Berlin) ... crystal clear pale golden/yellow with a thin white foam lace. Metallic, soft grain and hops in the aroma.

Smooth, creamy body with that traditional "skunky" hop flavour -- thin, lime-/citrus-/rind-like hop character throughout. Faint grain with a slight dry, clean finish.

Good, basic lager. No frills, but perfect for sucking back or washing down some hearty food.
